June 22nd

Yesterday we arrived in San Miguel Chicaj and settled into the YWAM base here. This morning we began our day with a prayer walk around town. We prayed mostly for the spiritual atmosphere, as

many Mayan beliefs are practiced alongside Christianity in this area. This afternoon we thought we would be doing youth ministry, but upon arriving at the church we discovered that we would be doing children's ministry instead. We prepared an impromptu program and ended up having a great time playing with the fourteen children who showed up. We did dramas for them, told them about their identity in Christ and then played some lively games of musical chairs and duck duck goose. They participated more than most groups of children have, which made things lots of fun for everyone!

June 23rd

This morning our day started with kids ministry at a church that was a bit of a walk away over rocks, hills and a swinging bridge. The area was beautiful. We taught about fifty well behaved children the creation story and shared dramas and songs with them. The pastor of the church then served us a

snack that was so filling we did not need much lunch!

This afternoon we went to the same church as yesterday and first did a program for the youth of the church. We did dramas, and gave a message on our identity in Christ. After the program, many of the youth came forward and shared how they were encouraged by our message. We then did dramas and shared a message during the church service that night. We asked anyone in the congregation who needed prayer to come forward. Many people came forward. We prayed for a woman whose family had been cursed by a witch. The witch had cursed her sob, and told her that he would die. She fasted and prayed for two days and her son did not die, but her and her family and community are still suffering the effects of this witchcraft. We also prayed for and encouraged several young girls, many of whom have very difficult home lives.

June 24th

Today we drove to a village in the mountains to spend the day. We spent the morning praying for families and encouraging them. We prayed for two women who were having issues in with their husbands, as well as for a family who had recently lost their father. In the afternoon we led a service at the church. We performed dramas, gave our testimonies and gave a message on our identity in Christ. We were then able to pray for many members of the congregation who were sick, or had other prayers requests.

June 25th

This morning we did children's ministry in a church in the mountains. We worked with about fifty children who were excited to hear the stories we brought for them. They really enjoyed playing duck duck goose, cat and mouse, and having their faces painted.

After lunch we went to the local hospital to pray for the patients. We prayed for several mothers and

their newborn babies, as well as some children who had broken arms. We prayed for a little girl named Kimberli who had fallen and broken her arm. She had a doll named Tootsi that she proudly introduced us to and then told me the few words she knew in English. One group prayed for a man who had attempted to take his own life. They were able to pray for and encouraged him and his teenage daughter who was at the hospital with him.

June 26th

This morning we worked and cleaned up around the base. We did yard work and cleaned lots of windows.

This afternoon we had the opportunity to go and minister at a prison. The girls talked to the three women prisoners and prayed for them . Francesca shared her testimony and some verses from the Bible. Two of the women were open to receiving prayer and shared a bit of their stories with us. Meanwhile, the guy students talked with the male prisoners. Juan shared that even though his throat had been hurting, God gave him the strength to shout so all of the prisoners could hear him. Several prisoners repented and gave their lives to Christ!

            Por la bendita gracia de Dios iniciamos nuestra penúltima semana en San Miguel Chicaj. La cual iniciamos con una caminata de oración alrededor de la aldea, fue una experiencia muy buena. Luego almorzamos y arreglamos las cosas para el ministerio en la aldea Guachipilin, con niños y para nosotros fueron el grupo mas activo en toda nuestra cruzada. Ya que bailaron, cantaron, y jugaron con una energía muy elevada. Un buen inicio de semana siempre sintiendo la presencia de Dios.

Martes 23 de junio del 2015

            Segundo día en San Miguel Chicaj, después del desayuno nos dirigimos a la aldea Dolores y allí ya nos estaban esperando los niños en la iglesia. Tuvimos títeres, juegos, pintamos caritas, y colorearon, luego tuvimos una refacción en la que nos obsequiaran tamalitos con frijoles negros que estaban muy ricos. Luego almorzamos y nos dirigimos otra vez a la aldea Dolores, pero esta vez con jóvenes. Allí tuvimos dramas, testimonios, y predica. Luego nos dieron a comer la comida típica de le lugar que es el Poxbol y era muy rica. En la noche estuvimos en el servicio, también con dramas, testimonio, y predica. Fue un día lleno de bendiciones.

Miércoles 24 de junio del 2015

            Cada día que pasa sentimos el gran amor que Dios nos tiene, nuestro tercer día empieza con nuestro desayuno y emprendemos el viaje para otro aldea, pero tenemos un camino de dos horas en el microbús y luego media hora en un 4x4. Al llegar a la aldea empezamos la visita a familias de el lugar y nos damos cuenta en las condiciones en las que viven. Luego nos sirven un delicioso caldo de gallina como almuerzo que no podemos resistir. Después participamos en el servicio de la iglesia donde compartimos dramas, testimonios, predicas, y luego oramos por las necesidades de los hermanos. Para luego tomar el regreso cuando estábamos por llegar al microbús, se nos vino una fuerte lluvia que lo tomamos como una despida del lugar.

Jueves 25 de junio del 2015

            Cuarto día en San Miguel Chicaj, lo iniciamos con nuestro desayuno. Luego vamos a la aldea San Francisco, donde tenemos un club de niños, jugamos, dramas, canciones, y pinta caritas. Fue una mañana muy emocionante. También esta semana estuvimos en dos lugares que hay puentes de hamacas como Dios nos mostro en oraciones en nuestras intercesiones. Luego en la tarde fuimos a orar por enfermos al hospital National de Salama, y ver a las personas muy abiertas a recibir oración es muy especial. En la noche fuimos a una iglesia en la aldea el rincón, allí hubo dramas, testimonio, y predica. Luego oramos por los hermanos, es nuestro penúltima noche en San Miguel Chicaj y hemos recibido muchas bendiciones. Amen.

Viernes 26 de junio del 2015

            Ultimo día en San Miguel Chicaj. Después del desayuno nos dirigimos a hacer trabajitos, que es desmontar y limpiar la casa que esta a la par de la base, los hombres. Mientras las mujeres hacer limpieza tanto adentro como afuera de la base. Fue un tiempo muy alegre y que nos unió mas como Jucumeros. Luego almorzamos y después nos dirigimos a la cárcel de Salama. Allí hablamos y damos testimonios a los presos y nos damos cuenta que aunque hemos hecho cosas malas, también tienen sentimientos unos doblaron rodillas y lloraron arrepentidos de lo que han hecho y nos dan sus nombres, para que los llevemos en oración porque ellos quieren que Dios los transforme. Después de la cena, Katy nos obsequió helado y hay palabras de despedida y hay una oración por nuestro grupo. Nos don un recuerdo de San Miguel y el ambiente se llena de nostalgia. Dios bendiga San Miguel Chicaj.

June 16th

Today we returned to the same school as yesterday and did a program with the children in the morning. The children were much more attentive today and we enjoyed playing with them and sharing dramas, songs, and our testimonies with them. In the afternoon the girls of the team went from classroom to classroom and painted the childrens' faces. They loved having their faces painted and were very excited. Even one of the teachers wanted us to paint her face. We also continued painting the walls of the school, in spite of the intense heat!

July 17th

Today we left early in the morning and spent the day cleaning a shoe factory. The factory used to provide jobs for former gang members, but is now closed. We spent the day with a man named Sam who has a ministry feeding malnourished babies. He had many stories to tell about the 1,200 babies his organization has helped over the years. We finished cleaning early and were able to get some rest in the afternoon.

June 18th

Today Juan was not feeling good, and the doctors felt it was serious enough for him to be sent back to Guatemala. The rest of the team went to present to kids at a school in an area controlled by gangs. We worked with a church in that area and were encouraged by their passion for the children they work with. We presented dramas, testimonies, and the gospel message to several groups of students. We then returned to the base for a time of intercession for Juan and our team.

July 19th

Today we had a day to pack and relax, but were excited to hear that Juan is doing much better! The doctors said that nothing serious was wrong with him! We are thankful for answered prayers!

            Después de un día de descanso, empezamos con nuestras energías, nuestra ultima semana en El Salvador. Desayunamos y luego nos encaminamos para una aldea para tener nuestra actividad con niños. Cuando llegamos había un calor fuerte, pero invitar a los niños, fue una mañana alegre. Pues bailamos, cantamos, hicimos dramas, también tuvimos títeres. Luego almorzamos y después los pastores nos llevan a un centro comercial y nos invitan a un helado y platicamos un buen rato. Luego nos dirigimos a la comunidad para invitar a las personas para el servicio de la tarde. Ya en el servicio compartimos dramas, testimonios, una pequeña predica con Courtney y luego se hizo la invitación para pasar adelante para orar por ellos. Luego nos dirigimos a la casa de los pastores, que nos dan pupusas como cena y un pastel para celebrar el cumpleaños de Francesca.

            Empezamos con nuestro viaje a una escuela donde vamos a hacer trabajitos. Al llegar empezamos a planear como pintar y manos a la obra. Muchos niños nos miran y se asombran de nuestro trabajo, así pasamos todo la mañana. Luego viene nuestro almuerzo y nos preparamos para nuestro actividad con los niños. Los dividen en dos gropos. Con los pequeños cantamos, bailamos, compartimos dramas, y jugamos. Luego vienen los jóvenes, pero con ellos hacemos dramas, testimonios, y les hacemos ver lo grande y amoroso que es Dios. Se puede ver que hay muchos jóvenes que no conocen a Cristo. Pero con lo que hemos hecho empezamos a sembrar una semilla en sus corazones. Para que luego Dios se encargue de regar esa semilla y logre cambiar la mentalidad de esos jóvenes que tanto lo necesitan en sus vidas.

            Dios es fiel y nos lo demuestra día con día. Hoy lo iniciamos con el desayuno y luego nos dirigimos a la escuela donde vamos a compartir con niños y jóvenes. El tiempo transcurre rápidamente entre baile, dramas, juegos, y luego ver la felicidad de los niños cuando se le pinta la carita. Eso lo llena de entusiasmo a uno. Llega la hora del almuerzo que nos ofrecieron de parte de la escuela, para luego empezar a seguir pintando. Entre la curiosidad de los niños y haciendo preguntas transcurre la tarde y cuando sentimos es tiempo de regresar. Ya en la base nos disponemos a salir a cenar afuera cuando el microbús se descompuso. Luego regresamos y tenemos adoración y luego la cena. Hemos sentido que el enemigo ha querido atacarnos fuerte estas semanas aquí en El Salvador, porque han pasado muchas cosas, pero nosotros sabemos que Dios esta con nosotros y es muy poderoso para que el enemigo nos pueda separar porque nosotros somos hijos de Dios y obedecemos lo que el nos dice. AMEN.

            Empezamos nuestro día con el desayuno y luego nos preparamos para el ministerio del día, y nos llevamos la sorpresa que es algo maravilloso lo que hacen con los niños desnutridos, nos ensañan todas las instalaciones. Luego nos dividimos, los staff se quedan y los estudiantes nos vamos para Santa Ana. Al llegar nos damos cuenta que era una empresa de zapatos que le daba trabajo a pandilleros y parece maravillas ese trabajo. Y nos damos maravilloso, terminamos rápido el trabajo la expectativa que hay personas que ayudan a personas que han hecho cosas malas en el pasado pero quieren cambiar su forma de vivir.

            Fue un día de muchas emociones al preparar nuestras cosas para partir para El Salvador. Llegamos a la estaciones de buses a chequear nuestros asientos y a las dos de la tarde empezamos el recorrido, a las cuatro llegamos a la frontera y el calor era intenso, porque el bus no tenia aire acondicionado, pero nosotros teníamos un gran entusiasmo, por fin llegamos a la terminar de San Salvador. Después nos fueron a recoger y llevar nos a la base de Jucum, ansiosos de saber que nos espera en este país hermano.

Lunes 8 de junio de 2015

            Primer día en El Salvador, empezamos con nuestro desayuno, luego tenemos nuestro devocional e intercesión con Juan. Luego tenemos trabajitos que consiste en ayudar a pintar parte de las instalaciones de Jucum. Es muy alegre, todos los de la base son muy amables. Llega la hora de

 almorzar y prepararnos para nuestro primer ministerio que es en una aldea. Courtney y Francesca trabajan apoyando con niños. Brayan y Juan con mujeres y hombres mayores dando testimonio y una pequeña reflexión y por la bendita, gracia de Dios todo sale sin ningún problema, además la lluvia nos a compaña. Luego regresamos a la base donde nos esperaba una deliciosa cena y luego nos reunimos para planificar lo del día siguiente. Es un gran bendición de Dios.

Martes 9 de junio de 2015

            Segundo día en El Salvador y lo empezamos con el desayuno. Luego devocional con Francesca y adoración.  Luego nos preparamos para nuestro ministerio en una comunidad. Mientras unos ayuden en el almuerzo, otros van de casa en casa a visitar y orar por familias. Es muy especial este tiempo. Luego llegan los niños al comedor y es muy alegre compartir con ellos, conocerlos, y orar por los alimentos con ellos. Después almorzamos y realizamos una caminata de oración por la comunidad, y en cada esquina leemos un capitulo del evangelio de San Marcos y oramos por los habitantes del lugar. Así transcurre la tarde y empezamos el regreso a la base y tenemos tiempo para organizar las actividades del siguiente día. Es una bendición que personas nos reconozcan por nuestro testimonio y que les dejemos una semilla sembrada en su corazón. Eso es obra del Espirito Santo que esta con nosotros día a día.

Miércoles 10 de junio de 2015

            Nuestro tercer día en El Salvador comienza con el desayuno. Luego devocional con Brayan y luego intercesión con Juan. Lamentando la enfermedad de Courtney y Francesca. Luego vamos a la casa de los chicos para hacer trabajitos y resulta muy divertido. Luego regresamos para almorzar y prepararnos para ir a la Universidad Nacional del Salvador y evangelizar, uno a uno. Resulta muy sorprendente ver como son abiertos a recibir la palabra de Dios. Fue una experiencia muy agradable y regresamos muy contentos. Después cenamos y tuvimos una reunión para planificar lo del siguiente día. En la noche tuvimos un ministerio con prostitutas y homosexuales, y entendimos que ellos sean lo que sean, son hijos de Dios, oramos, les compartimos una galleta y gaseosa y regresamos a la base porque es muy peligroso estar en la calle muy tarde. Que Dios cambie la situación en El Salvador.

            Gracias a Dios por regalarnos un día mas de vida. Empezamos con nuestro desayuno, luego tenemos devocional con Courtney. Después preparamos nuestro ministerio para un instituto cristiano y allí pasamos todo el día y compartimos con dos grupos de estudiantes. En el segundo cuando hicimos la invitación a recibir a Cristo nos llevamos la sorpresa de que 25 jóvenes pasaron y recibieron a Cristo.  En la tarde tuvimos una visita al hospital y repartimos café y galletas y oramos por muchas personas. Fue una experiencia agradable. También tuvimos la oportunidad de platicar con muchas personas y nos asombramos que muchas personas saben de Cristo pero no lo siguen y no lo han recibido. Regresamos a la base para la cena y tuvimos nuestra reunión para planificar el siguiente día.

Viernes 12 de junio de 2015

            Terminamos nuestra primera semana en El Salvador con muchas bendiciones. Este día lo iniciamos con nuestro desayuno. Después iniciamos nuestro camino para ir a una aldea a evangelizar y participar en el servicio de la iglesia que nos proporcionaron energía eléctrica, allí compartimos dramas, testimonios y aunque tuvimos varios inconvenientes nada nos detuvo para ir a dar la palabra de Dios. Luego almorzamos y nos preparamos para el servicio. Allí compartimos un drama, luego Juan dio su testimonio y reflexión. Todos los hermanos pasaran para orar por ellos. Fue muy emocionante. Algo que nos llamo la atención es que todas las personas de esa aldea son muy amables y muy abiertas para escucharlo a uno. Que dios bendiga a esta aldea.

June 8th

We are in El Salvador! Our first morning here was spent painting. As a team we had fun painting together. In the afternoon we went to a poor neighborhood where the girls of the team helped teach English to little kids and the boys of the team shared with the adults of the community. Francesca and I helped teach children ages six and younger the colors, numbers, and fruits in English. We played several games to help them remember what we taught them and had fun jumping up and down, running around, and coloring with the kids.

June 9th

Today we spent our day helping with a feeding program in a near by community. Part of our team left to visit families near by in the community for part of the morning. We prayed for a beautiful woman who asked us for prayer for doubts she is having about her faith in God. She also asked for prayer for her husband who is struggling with alcohol and the affect that is having on her and her two sons. We talked with her and her family and were able to encourage and will continue to pray for them. We returned to the feeding program help serve lunch to over 50 children. We served them a healthy lunch of rice, beans, eggs, and tortillas along with lemonade. We then split into two groups and went for a prayer walk around the community. At each corner we stopped to read a portion of scripture. One group read the book of Mark, the other the book of Ephesians.

June 10th

Today, both of the girls were sick and did not join the rest of the team for the day's activities. The boys spent the morning doing work duties at the house they are staying at. In the afternoon the team went and did one on one evangelism at a public university. They had a great time learning the students stories as well as sharing the word of God with them and praying for them. They talked to students who were Catholics, some who were having doubts about the existence of the God of the Bible. They also talked with prayed for, and encouraged two girls who have the desire to be missionaries in the future.

June 11th

Today we had the opportunity to share dramas and testimonies at a Christian School. We performed some new dramas and each member of the team shared their testimony. Francesca was still not feeling well and stayed back at the base. After the presentations, we invited the students to come up if they needed prayer for anything. It was a blessing to see many of the students come forward and wrap their arms around one another and pray for each other as we prayed over all of them. In the afternoon we went to a hospital and gave cookies and coffee to people in the waiting room of the hospital. We then asked if we could pray for them. We prayed for two mothers whose sons had been in accidents. One of the sons was still in a coma. We prayed for complete healing for both of their sons. Brayan began to preach to the people and prayed for and encouraged many of them.

June 12th

Today we left early in the morning for a village over three hours away. We rode to the village with the wife of the pastor of the church we were going to be working with. After driving up a very bumpy road, getting a flat tire, and changing the tire, we arrived in the village. We first visited families and prayed for them, and then put on dramas and gave testimonies at a house in the middle of the village. We prayed for a mother whose daughter is in the United States and is facing trouble with immigration. We also prayed for the father of this family and encouraged them to seek God and attend a church. We then went to the church service where we were received warmly and worshipped along with the congregation. We put on a drama, and Juan preached a message. We then invited the people of the church to come forward for prayer. Almost the entire church came forward and let us have the blessing of praying for them. We then ate a delicious dinner at the home of the pastors.

June 14th

Today was a long but great day! We left early in the morning to work all day at the church of the pastors we met on Friday. In the morning we shared stories and played games with around fifty children from the surrounding village. In the afternoon we walked around the town and invited people to the church service that night. At the church service we shared dramas and testimonies and a preaching on our identity in Christ as Christians. After the message we prayed for members of the church who came forward to receive prayer. The presence of the Holy Spirit was strong and it was a time of encouragement for many members of the church. After the service we again went to the pastors house for dinner. We celebrated Francesca's 21st birthday with a dinner of pupusas followed by cake.

July 15th

Today our morning was spent painting a school. In the afternoon we split the children into two groups and shared dramas, testimonies, and the gospel message with each group. We were able to share with the students about the life they can have in Christ. We were told that many of the children came from difficult circumstances at home. We will be returning to the same school to minister again tomorrow and are praying that God will be opening the hearts of the children.

Cuarta semana de cruzada: Puerta Abajo

            Es una bendición empezar nuestra cuarta semana de cruzada. Ahora vamos a la aldea Puerta Abajo, Zaragosa, Chimaltinango. Es una emoción ya que en las tres semanas pasadas hemos tenido grandes experiencias y bendiciones. Comenzamos nuestro viaje a las 10:45 a.m. saliendo de la base en Antigua. Al llegar a nuestro destino nos disponemos a ir a una caminata de oración por la aldea. Luego tenemos un almuerzo con muchas personas de la aldea y niños. Las personas que nos prestaron las casas donde vamos a estar organizaron el almuerzo. Después empezamos a jugar y a pintar caritas a los niños. Después el hermano Ismael y su esposa nos dan la bienvenida y nos cuentan como se inicio este ministerio. Fue muy interesante saber su historia. Este es el inicio de nuestra cuarta semana de cruzada con muchas muestras de cariño.

Lunes 1 de junio de 2015

            Después de nuestro día de descanso empezamos nuestra semana con muchas energías. Sara con dos estudiantes en clases de alfabetización y los otros dos con Don Bruce y David visitando familias y repartiendo Biblias. Después tuvimos intercesión con Francesca, para luego nuestro almuerzo, para luego prepararnos para el ministerio de niños. Fue una tarde llena de alegría al jugar, cantar, contarles la historia de la creación fue muy bueno para ellos. Aunque cayo la lluvia eso no impidió que pasamos momentos agradables con ellos. En la noche acudimos a la iglesia Puerta del Cielo, allí tuvimos tiempo de adoración, luego dramas, testimonios, predica. Luego oramos por unos hermanos, después por el pastor y su esposa, luego ellos oraron por nosotros. Fue una gran bendición nuestro primer día en esta aldea de Puerta Abajo.

Martes 2 de junio de 2015

            Segundo día en Puerta Abajo, estamos ansiosos en saber como será. Desayunamos y nos preparamos para ir a repartir Biblias. Mientras Brayan se queda arreglando una tubería que se sapo y por las cual no hay agua en la casa. Fue agradable oír como un padre ora para que su hijo deje el vicio de licor, también madres solteras luchan día a día para conseguir el alimento para sus hijos. Luego regresamos a la casa tuvimos adoración, luego el almuerzo y a pesar de la lluvia fuimos al ministerio de niños. Ellos tienen una gran energía y no se cansan. Se les hablo del perdón, jugamos, y pintamos caritas. Fue muy alegre lo del día miércoles solo sentimos mucho que Sara y Zane tuvieron que regresar a la Antigua por enfermedad. 

Miércoles 3 de junio de 2015

            Gracias a Dios llegamos a nuestro tercer día en Puerta Abajo, lo empezamos con el desayuno para después empezar a visitar familias y entregar Biblias y nos encontramos con personas que son de otras religiones que están abiertas a oírnos y que oremos por ellas. También cuando oran por una persona y siente alivio a su dolencia fue una bendición. Llega la hora del almuerzo y después arreglamos las cosas para el club de niños. Solo lamentamos que hoy Clara no nos acompaña porque se siente mal pero sabemos que ella esta en espirito con nosotros, bailamos, cantamos, hacemos dramas, y se los explicamos. Les hablamos sobre la salvación y luego de jugar les enseñamos una película ellos, los niños están emocionados y como siempre ellos quieren seguir jugando pero llega la hora de la cena y empieza a llover. Así termina nuestro día, gracias a Dios sin ninguna novedad.

Jueves 4 de junio de 2015

            Nosotros observamos que Dios nos ama en cada amanecer que tenemos. Nuestro cuarto día inicia con el desayuno, para luego prepararnos a ir a las casas a orar por las familias y regalar Biblias. Es una experiencia muy hermosa ya que nos reciben. Ponen mucho atención en lo que les decimos y nos atienden muy amablemente y abren su corazón cuando vamos a orar por ellos. Luego llega el almuerzo y nos preparamos para nuestro ultimo club de niños. Oramos, cantamos, les proyectamos una película, luego pintamos, jugamos, y el tiempo pasa muy rápido. Luego lo mas triste la despedida, nos tomamos fotos para tener un recuerdo de ellos. Luego atenemos devocional con Brayan, para luego la cena, cuando pensamos que había terminado nuestro día, llegan niños a que les enseñemos a hacer flautas con Brayan y adornos con latas con Juan y lo hacemos con mucho amor.

Viernes 5 de junio de 2015

            Nuestro ultimo día en Puerta Abajo inicia con nuestro desayuno. Luego seguimos visitando familias y entregando Biblias. Encontramos muchos testimonios, como Dios ha cambiado vidas, milagros, y una señora que tiende una gran fe que son fuente de inspiración. Se nos hace corto el tiempo que andamos caminando, Luego nuestro intercesión, almorzamos. En la casa tenemos adoración y nos acompañan niños, es muy alegre. Luego se enseña a hacer manualidades con latas toda la tarde. En la noche la película en la iglesia evangélica, Puerta del Cielo, gracias a Dios llega mucha gente. Al finalizar se hace un llamado para recibir a Cristo, Juan da su testimonio y se acercan seis niños a recibir. Oramos por ellos, y luego se acercan varias personas por oración. Dios bendiga la aldea Puerta Abajo.

June 1st

This morning we split into groups. Half of us went to distribute Bibles and the other half stayed back to help with a literacy class. This afternoon we did kids ministry with around 50 children at the local school. We told them the creation story and played games and sang songs. This evening we attended a service at a church in the community and gave testimonies, performed dramas, and gave a message on grace and forgiveness.

July 2nd

This morning we once again visited families. We distributed Bibles to those who did not have Bibles and prayed for them. This afternoon in spite of the rain we did kids ministry with the local children. Today's theme was forgiveness, which involved the story of the prodigal son as told by several puppets. We then played games and ended the afternoon with a time of face panting.

June 3rd

Today we once again delivered Bibles to families in the community in the morning. We prayed for a woman whose daughter wanted to go to school, but her parents did not have the money to send her as well as many other families. In the afternoon we gave a salvation message to the children during our time of children's ministry. We then watched a movie and played games.

June 4th

Today we once again visited families to distribute Bibles and pray for them in the morning. In the afternoon we talked with the children about their identity in Christ during our time of children's ministry. We then had a time of singing songs and face painting.

June 5th

This morning we once again visited families and distributed Bibles. We were blessed to hear the testimonies of several families of the miracles that God had done in their live. One mother told us how God had heard her prayer and saved her daughter's life when the doctors had said she would die. Another woman told us how her husband had tried to kill her before he came to know Christ and his life was turned around. This afternoon we showed the movie Fury to Freedom at a church in the community. Many of the children and families we had been working with all week came to see this movie with a life changing message. At the end of the movie six children came forward to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior! We prayed with several more families and said goodbye to the people we had come to love this week.
