August Update

July 3 marked the graduation of our DTS that began on February 14.  It was an interesting experience as we combined our students with the students from the Guatemala City base.  Each base conducted their own outreach. Our group spend 6 weeks in Guatemala and 2 weeks in San Salvador, El Salvador.  We saw God work through the students in amazing ways as they put into practice the things they learned during the 12 weeks of classroom instruction.

Our next DTS begins August 1 and we have students from the USA, Germany, Honduras and Guatemala attending.  It is always great to have international students as they bring their cultures to the class and add to joy of being a part of the Body of Christ.

We are excited about the construction of our new YWAM Antigua base.  We have experienced many delays with our architect and we are praying that everything that needs to be submitted to the local government for approval will happen shortly.  We would appreciate your prayers for this crucial need as we cannot do any construction until we get the building permit. Below are our plans for the base. It will have 8 dorm rooms that will hold 6-8 people and 2 private rooms for staff.  We will also have a large kitchen and dining room on the first floor.  Our second floor will have office space, a classroom area a prayer room.  We invite people to be a part of the construction.  Manual labor as well as skilled labor will be needed.  Please contact us if you are interested in helping. We would love to see the first floor completed by Christmas!!!  Nehemiah built the wall in 52 days and we are believing for a miracle of construction time to be 152 days.
