Rock & Roll

 Base construction
We began clearing the property where the new YWAM Antigua base will be built. A group from San Pablo La Laguna from Canaan church came for a day to cut grass and move some of the huge rocks that were deposited on our property after hurricane Stan and tropical storm Agatha.  The rocks were very heavy and it took a lot of effort to move them into the hole we dug to bury them.  These were the biggest rocks that we saw but there may be more in the berm that is behind our property.
We are waiting for the city to give us our license to begin the actual construction and we should know by August 31.  Once granted the contractor will be hiring extra workers to build the wall of the base.  Our goal is to move into the new base before the end of the year and not have to rent our present facility for another year.  We have raised enough money for the construction of the first floor but we will need another $60,000 to complete the second floor.  We want to have the entire structure done before June 2016.  If you would like to make a donation to help us you can donate online through this link: Donate   You can also give by sending a check or money order made payable to YWAM Chico and send it to:

Thank you for your help!  We will give regular updates and include photos of the new base construction once we begin.  Please pray that the work will be done quickly and well.

New DTS
We began our DTS on August 1 with 6 students from 4 countries.  We are just finishing our 4th week of classes and have some great teachers and topics for the remainder of our lecture phase.  We are praying about where to go on our outreach and invite you to pray with us that God will guide to the people and places he wants us to go.
We are already receiving applications for our February 2016 DTS. If you are interested in attending please submit your application as soon as possible as our enrollment will be limited.

Summer Spanish School & Outreach
We are excited to announce a new ministry at the base that will provide Spanish language instruction and discipleship training.  Our first program will be held from July 3-30.  We will have three weeks of Spanish classes combined with daily discipleship and ministry preparation training.  The final week will dedicated to outreach to communities in Guatemala that will include evangelism and mercy ministries.  Check out our website for more details: ywamantigua.com
