Week 3 DTS Outreach to Panajachel, Guatemala

WEEK 3

May 24th

Today in the morning we helped with a kids activity put on by a near by church. It was an obstacle

course/relay race and everyone had fun. We then went down to the shore of the lake and painted kids' faces, made them balloon animals and read Bible stories with them. We then performed dramas and shared the gospel message. In the evening we were able to participate in a children s' church service. We praised God with around twenty children, and then performed dramas and played a game with them.

May 25th

Today our day started with street evangelism in a rougher part of town. We talked to and prayed for several people, most of whom were drug addicts or alcoholics. This afternoon we visited an activity

center for elderly people. We performed dramas for them and gave a message. We then had the opportunity to talk with them and pray with them one on one. Next, we had a time of intercession on the shore of the lake.

May 26th

This morning we visited a church that is in the process of constructing a  new building and helped level the ground for the new building, and wash chairs in the old building. We then went to visit and pray for the pastor of that church who in spite of having severe diabetes, and limited vision insists on being brought to the

church to preach. This afternoon we visited families. We visited a man who was left paralyzed in an accident and prayed for him and encouraged him. We then visited a five year old boy who God had healed from a serious illness. This boy now aspires to be president of Guatemala some day. Finally, we visited a man who was injured while preaching the gospel in a prison. One of his legs had to be amputated, below the knee, but he and his family have a great testimony to tell and are excited for how God is going to use them in the future.

May 27th

This morning we went to a neighborhood and distributed Bibles and prayed for families. We then invited them to come watch some dramas and here a presentation of the gospel message. We also sang songs and played a game

with the children. This afternoon we went to the local hospital and passed out coffee and bread to the people waiting to visit family members or see the doctor. We then talked and prayed with these families. 

May 28th

This morning we spent time doing dramas, singing and telling stories to children from a local school. We told the story of David and Goliath and had help acting out the story from many eager students. The message we gave was on our identity in Christ. This

afternoon we once again had the opportunity to present dramas and testimonies at the activity center for elderly people. We had a great time talking with them and praying for them, Some of them also prayed for us, which was a blessing. We are thankful for the blessed week we had in Panajachel!

Semana 3 Panajachel

Con la bendición de Dios empezamos nuestra tercera semana de cruzada. Temprano nos despedimos de la familia Moxnay y después del desayuno agarramos camino para el muelle. Allí nos estaba esperando la lancha que nos transportaría a Panajachel, nuestro próximo destino. Al llegar Don Bruce ya nos estaba esperando y nos dirijamos al seminario donde nos alojaríamos. Después fuimos a almorzar y la tarde la usamos para repartir tratados y hablar con personas de la palabra de Dios. Después en la noche después de la cena ensayamos otro drama y recibimos una orientación de los ministerios de la semana.

Domingo 24 de mayo del 2015

Nuestro primer día completo en Panajachel lo iniciamos con el desayuno depures nos ponemos ayudar con el ministerio de niños de la iglesia en varios juegos y resulta muy divertidos. Hay varios de nosotros que terminamos mojados. Después nos vamos para la playa y compartimos con niños, pintando caritas, Francesca y Brayan lo hacían. David y Courtney contaban historias con otros niños. Después de comer nuestra bolsita jucumera, empezamos a hacer dramas y a explicarlos. Luego tuvimos un tiempo para repartir tratados y hablar con la gente y a pesar de la lluvia seguimos adelante. Luego de la cena nos preparamos para estar con niños de la iglesia en la noche y fue de gran bendición saber como están organizados tan bien. Nosotros hicimos dos dramas, jugamos, y les ensenamos dos canciones y luego ellos nos enseñaron a nosotros canciones. Esto fue una gran alegría en nuestro primer día aquí en Panajachel. Esto es una bendición que nos ha dado Dios.

Lunes 25 de mayo del 2015

Día con día vemos lo mucho que nos ama Dios empezamos la mañana con nuestro devocional con Brayan. Después desayunamos y empezamos nuestro caminar para ir a hablar con indigentes. Encontramos a varios y nos pusimos a hablar con ellos. Nos contaron sus problemas y hubieron unos que dijeron que eran cristianos bautizados pero estaban en el vicio del licor. También hablamos con Mynor, un muchacho que tiene problemas con drogas y aunque Brayan le hablo, él no ponía atención. Oramos por el y al retirarnos saco un cigarro y se lo empezó a fumar, cuando volteamos con David, Mynor nos enseño el cigarro como diciendo miren. En forma de burla, él tiene muchos problemas. Después del almuerzo a un lugar donde atienden a personas de la tercera edad y pasamos una tarde muy alegre. Hubo dramas, adoración, testimonio, una pequeña predica y hasta un señor que estaba allí dio su testimonio. Fue una bendición. Después tuvimos nuestra intercesión a cargo de Brayan y se hizo a la orilla del lago. Fue una experiencia muy agradable. Después regresamos al lugar donde nos quedamos.

Martes 26 de mayo del 2015

Dios nos tiene preparadoras muchas sorpresas día con día. Hoy tuvimos nuestro devocional con Courtney y después nuestro desayuno. Para luego caminar para ir a poner nuestro granito de arena en la construcción de una casa de Dios. Las Mujeres limpiaran las sillas de la iglesia, los hombres y Clara acarreábamos piedra para llenar un agujero y aplanar una porte de la nueva iglesia Ebenezer. Luego pasamos a hablar con el pastor y para nuestra sorpresa es que se esta quedando ciego y esta muy enfermo pero a pesar de eso sigue con el espíritu de lucha para servirle al Señor. Regresamos a almorzar y en la tarde fuimos a visitar a un joven que tuvo un accidente y ahora esta en silla de ruedas pero vimos su forma de cómo ve la vida y la fe que tiene. Hace unos trabajos muy buenos tanto pintados como bordados. Luego visitamos a un niño que la vez pasada visitaron otro grupo de misioneros y el mismísimo les pidió que fueran a su casa para orar por él y ellos fueron porque tenia una enfermedad muy grave y la mama nos contó que días después el orar por él la enfermedad desapareció. Nuestro padre había hecho el milagro de sanarlo. En la noche conocimos al hermano José y nos dio su testimonio y fue impactante oírlo. Nos tonto todo lo que había pasado y cuantos milagros había hecho Dios en su vida y ahora tanto el como su esposa están entregados a Dios y también quieren llegar su palabra a las cárceles. No importando lo que les pueda pasar. Estos testimonios y obras de Dios nos hacen que nuestra fe y amor a nuestro Padre crezca cada día mas y mas.

Miércoles 27 de mayo del 2015

Bendito el Señor es nuestro quinto día en Panajachel. Empezamos con el devocional a cargo de Juan y después nuestro desayuno. Para luego dirigirnos a la colonia 4 de octubre son personas que perdieron su casa en la tormenta Agatha y el gobierno les dio una casa allí. Jugamos con grandes y pequeños, bailamos, presentamos dramas, testimonios y predica. Para después regresar a almorzar y tener tiempo de adoración y luego dirigirnos al Hospital de Solda e ir a ofrecer un vaso con café y un pan a las personas que se encontraban allí. Para luego evangelízalas y muchas personas permitieron que oramos por ellos. Fue una gran bendición. En la noche nos dirigimos a la playa para tener una fogata y seguir uniendo mas al grupo como una familia que somos.

Jueves 28 de mayo del 2015

Ultimo día en Panajachel y no sabíamos la sorpresas que tendríamos. Empezamos con nuestro devocional con Francesca. Después nuestro desayuno y prepararnos para ir a una escuela y pasar una mañana bien alegre. Presentamos dramas, una historia donde los mismos niños participaron y disfrutaron. Después bailamos y jugamos con ellos y Courtney y Francesca se dedicaron a pintar caritas y llego lo mas triste la despedida. Después fuimos a almorzar y prepararnos para ir al lugar donde atender personas de la tercer edad y pasamos una tarde llena de alegría y melancolía ya que solo con dos tardes que llegamos nos encariñamos con ellos. El

personal de mayor edad nos hablaron en nuestro despedida llenándonos de bendiciones. Pedimos a Dios le llene de fuerzas a todas las personas de Panajachel.

Week 2 DTS outreach San Pablo La Laguna

​Con sentimientos de varias clases nos despedimos de la familia Alva porque era nuestro ultimo día allí. Después del desayuno nos preparados para partir a San Pedro a las diez empezamos nuestro camino para nuestro nuevo destino. A las diez y media empezamos en San Pedro nuestra caminata de oración por varias calles de San Pedro la Laguna y nos dimos cuenta de muchos lugares donde distribuyen licor y droga y oramos por eso, también por la educación.

​Es hermoso observar las maravillas que Dios nos regala al admirar lo que rodea la casa en donde nos estamos quedando. La mañana la pasamos en el pueblo de San Pablo evangelizamos por el mercado. Después con Brayancantara y yo repartir tratados y hablarles con mi cubo y todos los que estaban allí pusieron mucha atención. Quisieron damos dinero pero nosotros dijimos que no. En la tarde preparamos todo para ir al servicio de la iglesia. Allí tuvimos tiempo de adoración, también dos dramas. Francesca dio su testimonio y yo una pequeña predica. Todo fue hermoso, ya de regreso encontramos a nuestros hermanos de Jucum de San Miguel Chicaj aunque no hablamos si nos dimos un saludo aunque sea de lejos porque íbamos en carro.

Lunes 18 de mayo de 2015

​Tercer día aquí en San Pedro la laguna es un privilegio observar un amanecer tan hermoso. Nuestro día empezó con nuestro devocional por parte de Francesca. Desayunamos y nos preparamos para ir a la iglesia porque íbamos a tener dos club de niños. Aunque terminamos cansados por jugar con los niños nos sentimos contentos.Después almorzamos y a la una de la tarde empezamosnuestra visita a varias casas para conocer a las familias y orar por ellos. Estábamos en una casa hablando con una pareja para que aceptar a Dios cuando tembló, pero no nos asustamos. Vimos que hay muchas necesidades en varias casas y los mas afectados son los niños. De regreso a la casa en el carro tuvimos nuestra reunión diaria y nos pareció muy buena idea. Después tuvimos nuestro tiempo de intercesión que lo dirigió Courtney. Después cenamos para después ensayar un evangelismo-drama para darlo a conocer el día martes en la tarde delante de alumnos de básico en la iglesia del Pastor Antonio en San Pablo la laguna.

Martes 19 de mayo de 2015

​Gracias a Dios es nuestro cuarto día en San Pedro y poder admirar todos las bellezas que nos regala. Hoy empezamos nuestro día con devocional por parte deBrayan. Después el desayuno y agarramos camino para la iglesia al servicio de oración allí. Tuvimos tiempo de adoración, y testimonio de Courtney. Después fuimos a visitar enfermos allí conocimos a Don Pablo que es una persona que tuvo un pasado obscuro y le ha pedido perdón a Dios aunque ajora tenga el mal de párkinson y lamenta no poder ir a la iglesia o tienes un radio para escuchar la palabra de Dios. Almorzamos y a las dos y media tuvimos un club de niños jugamos, cantamos, se les conto una historia y ellos pasaron una tarde agradable a pesar de la lluvia. A las cinco y cuarto llegaron los alumnos de un instituto y tuvimos la iglesia llena de jóvenes. Hicimos dramas, un testimonio de Francesca, un drama-evangelismo y al invitar a aceptar a Cristo. Dieciocho jóvenes pasaron y todos estaban llorando arrepentidos. Oramos por ellos y fue un experiencia muy emotiva. Un joven hablo con Brayanpara que oraran por el ya que quiere dejar las drogas. En la noche estuvimos en jora de oración en la iglesia y tuvimos el privilegio de orar por los hermanos que pasaron al frente. Este día a sido el mas impactante de nuestro cruzada.

Miércoles 20 de mayo de 2015

​Cada día que pasa nos damos cuenta lo grande que es Dios. Desayunamos y tuvimos nuestro devocional conCourtney. Luego nos preparamos para ir a trabajar a la par de la iglesia del Pastor Antonio a sacar tierra para poder hacer una canchita para los niños. Pasamos una mañana agradable. Después compartimos un almuerzo cien por ciento chapín porque fue arroz con frijoles. Regresamos a la casa en San Pedro. Descansamos un poco y tuvimos intercesión de parte de Courtney, oramos por Ashley por un problema que tubo, también por un niño que van a operar el día jueves. Ensayamos unos himnos y a las cuatro menos cuarto empezamos nuestro camino a Radio Amistad ya que allí tuvimos tiempo de adoración. Después Juan dio su testimonio y Brayan hizo la invitación para poder participar en la próxima EDE y él hablo sobre lo que es Jucum. Regresamos a cenar y tuvimos nuestra reunión diaria para preparar nuestra agenda para el día siguiente.

Jueves 21 de mayo de 2015

​Gracias a Dios llegamos a nuestro sexto día en San Pedro. Tuvimos media día libre. Unos fueron a nadar, otros de compras, y Juan fue a ver un hermano que tiene un ministerio con personas con problemas del licor y oramos en el local que servirá en las reuniones. Después en la tarde tuvimos ministerio de niños en la iglesia y nos despedimos de ellos, para luego estar en el servicio de la iglesia tuvimos tiempo de adoración, un drama, testimonio de Courtney y predica de Brayan. También nos despedimos de los hermanos porque era nuestro ultimo día allí.

Viernes 22 de mayo de 2015

​Hoy salimos a la casa a las cinco de la mañana sin saber las sorpresas que tendríamos. Visitamos varias aldeas oramos en varias casas y estuvimos en varias escuelas y en una jugamos pelota con los niños. Fue una gran bendición como terminamos nuestro segunda semana de cruzada. Que Dios bendiga al Pastor Antonio, su familia, y a todo San Pedro la laguna.

May 17

Today after a time of morning worship we set out to do street evangelism. We first performed a short drama, and then Juan shared his testimony and Brayan preached a salvation message. We then spread out to do individual evangelism, pass out tracts, and pray for people in the street. Later that night we led woship at church. We also performed a drama and Francesca gave her testimony and Juan preached a message.

May 18th

Today we got up and rode in the back of a pickup truck from San Pedro to the church we are working with this week in San Pablo. We ministered to the children at the school that the church has through a story about forgiveness. We colored with them, and also played an intense game of duck-duck goose. After kids ministry, we visited and prayed for several families from the church. We prayed for a woman and her children who are dealing with a husband and father who is dealing with drug addiction and for a woman struggling with diabetes, Prayer for these families as well as our team our much appreciated.

May 19th

Today we saw God work in amazing ways. We started our day with intercession with the women of the church we are working with in San Pablo. We then visited and prayed for a man from the church who has been suffering from a problem in his nerves for over two years. This has discouraged him, and made it impossible to for him to attend church, so members of the church have been doing a church service for him in his house. We then spent the afternoon teaching around 30 energetic children about their identity in Christ. Next, we were able to share dramas, testimonies and the salvation message with hundreds of young adults from a local college. Around 25 of the students came up front, and kneeled down and prayer heartfelt prayers to receive Christ as their savior. To end the night, we had the privledge of praying over members of the church that came to that nights prayer meeting. 

May 20th

Today we spent the morning digging a massive tree stump out of the ground on a piece of land next to the church that they are planning to use as a play area for the children of the school. In the afternoon we were able to sing songs, give a testimony and a message over a local Christian radio station. Juan did a wonderful job sharing his testimony, Brayan and the girls sang, and Brayan promoted the DTS and gave a short message. 

May 21st

Today after a free morning we spent the afternoon with the children of the church once again. We told them the story of creation complete with a flannel graph and puppets and did a craft. We then led worship, performed a drama, Courtney shared her testimony and Brayan preached at the church service that evening.

May 22nd

This morning we were up bright and early. We left the house we are staying at at 5 in the morning and drove to Santa Clara, and town in the mountains about an hours drive away. We started off the morning overlooking the lake and all the surrounding cities as we prayed over them and enjoyed a beautiful view. We then spoke and did ministry at two different schools in the area and had a great time playing with the children. Next, we visited and prayed over several families in the area that the pastor knew and several churches that he helped plant. We then returned home and packed for next week.

DTS Outreach Week 1: San Pablo La Laguna, Guatemala

May 10

Today was our first full day of ministry! We started the day with street evangelism. We found a spot on the street and sang songs and performed dramas to draw a crowd. Juan, one of the students, gave his testimony and Brayan gave a salvation message. Three men came forward to receive Christ at the end of the message. Later that night the girls of our group had a chance to share at the church service. Francesca gave a message and Courtney shared a testimony.

May 11th

Today we had the opportunity to share at a school. This morning we taught children from ages 3 to 12 about identity. We sang songs like "King of the Jungle," and "Father Abraham," and played a game with them. Then, we told the story of God choosing David to be king of Israel. This afternoon we shared with young people at the same school through dramas, worship, testimonies, and the salvation message.

May 12th

Today we had the opportunity to visit families from the church and pray for them and encourage them. We prayed for a 5 day old baby, for a woman whose husband had left her and her children, and many pther families. In the afternoon we told the story of creation to about twenty children at the church. In the evening Juan shared his testimony and a message on intercession at church.

May 13th

This morning we visited a school full of young children and sang songs with them and told them the story of creation. We then did a " treasure hunt," which is where we ask God for words or pictures about the people he wants us to minister to, and then we go out into the street to find those people. We talked to and prayed for people as the Holy Spirit led us. We then were able to share dramas, testimonies, and the gospel at a school full of young people and had twenty young people pray to receive Christ! Our day ended with a night of pop can art at the church led by Juan. About ten people came and learned how to make a vase out of a pop can.

May 15th

Today we once again went out to visit and pray for families from the church in the morning. In the afternoon we did kids ministry at the church and told them the story of the prodigal son and colored with

them and played duck-duck grey duck with them (duck-duck goose for any non-Minnesotans out there). This evening Brayan gave a message on forgiveness at church. The whole church then prayed over us to conclude our week.

Cruzada Jucum Mayo-Julio 2015

            Eran las siete de la mañana y en la base había una gran emoción unos arreglando las cosas que vamos a usar en nuestra cruzada. Mientras pasaba el tiempo, el nerviosismo crecía y así llego la hora de empezar a subir nuestras cosas en el microbús y a las doce y media empezamos nuestra misión de llevar la Palabra de Dios a otras personas. Aunque fue un poco cansado el viaje pero en nosotros había una gran alegría y por fin a las cuatro y media de la tarde llegamos a San Pablo la Laguna. Fuimos recibidos por el Pastor Efrain y su familia nos instalamos en nuestros cuartos. Cenemos y empezamos a ensayar nuestro drama y las canciones ya que estuvimos con los jóvenes de la iglesia, Brayan dio la predicación y Francesca brindo su testimonio. Dios estuvo con nosotros en la noche ya que los jóvenes que llegaron, pusieron atención tanto en las alabanzas como en el drama y sobre todo en el testimonio y la predica.

Domingo 10 de mayo de 2015

            Gracias a Dios hoy empezamos nuestro día con intercesión a las ocho y media de la mañana y oramos por todas las mujeres que son madres. A las diez salimos a evangelizar y nos situamos en dos lugares diferentes; en la primera predica, tres jóvenes le entregaron su vida a Cristo y eso nos llena de alegría. Gente que nos preguntaba de donde veníamos una persona me pregunto si podría ir a hablar con su hijo ya que esta pasando problemas. Tuvimos a las dos y media un tiempo de alabanza para luego salir a las cuatro a la iglesia para asistir al servicio y allí Courtney dio su testimonio y Francesca dio la predica y todos estabas muy emocionados. Don Bruce fue el traductor y cuando nos dimos cuenta estaba lloviendo y tuvimos que correr para las casa. Fue algo divertido para nosotros. Por la noche en una reunión hablamos de la experiencia vivida ver lo bueno, lo malo, y como podemos mejorar.

Lunes 11 de mayo de 2015

            Hoy empezamos nuestro tercer día aquí en San Pablo con nuestro primer devocional a las siete de la mañana. Para después desayunar y prepararnos a ir a la escuela. Habíamos preparado varias actividades pero a ultima hora no hicimos varias cosas, pero Dios nos ayudo y estuvimos con todas las clases y aunque nos cansamos de tanto bailar y hablar con los niños. Salimos muy felices de allí después fuimos a almorzar para después arreglar todo para ir con los jóvenes de Bachillerato con los jóvenes allí cantamos, alabanzas, dramas, dimos testimonio, y una pequeña predica y lo que dimos varias es que algunas jóvenes estaban llorando al oír lo que estábamos diciendo, y todos estaban poniendo atención. En el tiempo de cena empezamos a hablar de lo que nos había gustado mas del día y empezar a planificar lo de el día siguiente. Después oramos por la hermana Bety porque tenia la presión alta.

Martes 12 de mayo de 2015

            Llegamos a nuestro cuarto día aquí en San Pablo la laguna e iniciamos con nuestro devocional y fue el turno de Francesca. Después nuestro desayuno para luego empezar a preparamos para ir a visitar enfermos en la aldea y fue una experiencia muy bonita porque hay personas que tienen unos problemas mas grandes que uno pero tienen un gran fe en Dios. Después regresamos y después de un pequeño descanso almorzamos y preparar todo para el ministerio de niños en la iglesia y nos lleno de alegría el ver a muchos niños felices. En la noche en la iglesia hubo un servicio de oración pero antes de irnos tuvimos nuestro tiempo de adoración ya en el servicio se me dio la oportunidad de dar mi testimonio y una pequeña predica. Después llegamos a la casa y tuvimos nuestra reunión para organizar todo para el día siguiente.

Miércoles 13 de mayo de 2015

            El quinto día de nuestra cruzada. Diez iniciamos con nuestro devocional a cargo de Brayan. Después desayunamos y a las nueve iniciamos nuestro comino a una guardería y en tres secciones estuvimos violando contando historias con los niños fue un momento agradable. Después nos pusimos en búsqueda del tesoro y fue de muchas bendiciones unos jóvenes aceptaron a Cristo. Después del almuerzo nos preparamos para ir al instituto básico oí les mostramos tres dramas. Courtney y Francesca dieron su testimonio, Brayan dio una pequeña evangelización y al hacer la invitación así se acercaron 19 jóvenes para aceptar a Cristo en su corazón. Fue una gran alegría para nosotros y en la noche se acercaron diez personas a aprender hacer cosas con latas estaban muy contentas. Fue una gran bendición este día. 

Viernes 15 de mayo de 2015

           

            Nuestro ultimo día en las casa del Pastor Efrian. Empiezo con nuestro desayuno, después empezamos nuestra intercesión y oramos por nuestros hermanos que estaban padeciendo alguna enfermedad o se sentían mal, Clara, Sara, Zane, Juan Luis, y Hermana Bety. Después fuimos a visitar varias casas de hermanos y oramos por ellos. Después de almuerzo nos preparamos para el club de niños y nos dio mucha alegría al llegar a la iglesia ya nos estaban esperando afuera, jugando, cantamos, les contamos una historia y hasta refacción hubo fue una gran bendición, en la noche fuimos al servicio y Brayan dio una pequeña predica y después nos agradecieron y oraron por todos ellos se sorprendieron ver a Francesca y Courtney vestidas con trajes típicos y así terminamos nuestra primera semana de cruzada con muchas bendiciones.

DTS outreach

Our DTS class is now on the outreach phase. They will be spending six weeks in Guatemala and two weeks in El Salvador. The group is in Sam Pablo La Laguna the first two weeks. They will be sharing the gospel each day in different locations and venues. 

We will be providing updates during the outreach. 

Our next DTS begins on August 1 and our tentative outreach destination is Peru.

India, Nepal Outreach week 8 Final week update

Last week of outreach WEEK 8

December 8- Monday -
Early early morning we almost all, woke up to a once and a life time, sunrise over the Himalayas. Only a once in a lifetime sight if you don't live there, but it was so awesome it didn't seem real. Like it was more of a picture you see rather than you actually being there. Later that morning we then headed back to the church planting base and held a kids program. It was for all the kids that lived around the church and of course did David an Goliath for last hoorah and some of us played basketball with the youth there too. It was our last kids program so it just seemed right to end with one of the programs we started with! The kids were so sweet and we loved just being able to be used by God so many times to just play with kids and love on them by spending time with them. We could leave a mark by just spending time. We started off our week being able to see some just breath taking creation and getting to praise our Creator for just the chance to be here.

December 9- Tuesday-
Started off our official last day of ministry doing what else but an open air with a community of people who made bricks. The pastor called it the brick factory but it was more of people themselves making and drying bricks at their homes. We just played some worship songs and a crowd gathered. After giving the gospel message we handed out Bibles we had in Nepali. Right after that we moved locations and gave another message to tell more people about the Good News. That night we went to a Bible study at a church members house, gave a testimony and had our last bit of Nepali tea in someone's house. Everyday as we did things people would point out how it was the last time we would do that specific thing sometimes funny, and others caused you to just contemplate on what God used us to do.

December 10- Wednesday-
This morning we started by helping build a house church by digging and cutting bamboo for them. All the guys were pumped for some manual labor time and especially that it helped further the kingdom in an area that desperately needed a church. After that went home packed up and left for Apple pie, the first place we originally stayed after landing in Nepal, again as a whole group.

December 11- Thursday-
Now begins the time of debrief with the team. This morning we started off debrief with a time of worship. And then spoke about what had happened over our time in India and Nepal. We listened to a sermon over how to hear our calling from God. And had some paper work to turn in and to fill out for the following day. Starting to prepare our minds for home and how to help when we are back.

December 12- Friday-
Today's meeting in the morning after intercession was with Kelly from the Nepal base. We were able to share all our testimonies with her and tell her thanks for such a great job coordinating what we did with who. After this we had our one on one meetings with the leaders on what we did well and how overall outreach went with each one of us specifically. That night was such a memorable time laughing and crying with everyone during our graduation dinner.

December 13- Saturday-
This morning we all packed and got ready for the night flight. Then we loaded up and headed to Doha where we all had different flights home.

December 14- Sunday-
This morning we all woke up in the Doha airport after some crazy layovers, the tears started coming. We had to split up and get on different planes. Four of us though did arrive home late tonight. And 2 others landed in Switzerland tonight also.

December 15- Monday-
The rest of the group had a long layover in Miami.

December 16- Tuesday-
The official arrival day for all!!


After five months this group went from strangers to family. God called us all together and sometimes we definitely questioned why, but by the end we knew why. Every single one of us came to DTS a certain way, and you bet everyone of us left transformed and completely new. God did some awesome things and we were beyond blessed to be all together an used by Him every step of the way. So first of all as I speak on behalf of everyone I want to first say thanks to the one who gave it all. God is great and deserves to be first. I also want to say a special thanks to all the supporters who God used to send us across the world. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers. Thanks to all the parents who gave the permission, and for all the leaders who put up with us crazy people for 5 months. Anyone reading this I personally want to ask to keep the base and leaders in your prayers as they grow and begin building a new base building. Thank you again for the future prayers and support of all involved in YWAM Antigua and thank you for the now past DTS students you helped obey Gods call on their life!

DTS Outreach to Nepal Week 7

Week 7 blog 12/1- Monday Monday started off wonderful we were told we were going to go minister and love on kids that live on the street. The interesting part was we went to this forest type of park there were monkeys and cows just freely walking around but we got to play soccer with the kids and then for those who wanted a sweet hair cut , we happily accepted the challenge! We also told the story of David an Goliath after that we were able to give them a meal. Such a sobering time with these kids who have to either work extremely hard or beg just to survive and these were kids not teenagers or adults but some were literally smaller children not even 11 years old. That is why the woman leading the kings kids ministry has such a passion and heart for these kids and only by the grace of God. It is His heart for these kids that He has given her. That night we went out Christmas caroling, but not just the normal kind we gave a gospel message after to explain why an what we were doing. Very awesome time to sing about Jesus in public and to share about him. Before all this to get in the "mood" we decorated the house we stayed at. Great way to end a Monday with some good ol caroling! 12/2- Tuesday Today started off with us loading up to head over to an elderly lady's home. We gave an encouraging word about how if God was watching over Hagar and Ishmael, and they were slaves and a not wanted child due to Isaac. That God will take care of us as we trust Him ,and as we seek Him that He won't ever fail us. This message was after of coarse some jolly festive songs. Then we prayed with and over some of them. This time was an amazing time to see the people who serve these women everyday. All were volunteers except the full time cook, so it was great to see them also encouraged by the word we shared with all those who were there. 12/3- Wednesday In the morning we started by heading to a local sports area to have personal evangelism and pass out tracts to those we couldn't communicate with. While here we met a team of semi-pro soccer (football) players that were all from the continent of Africa. Many different countries but all from Africa. So we spoke with them while they weren't scrimmaging and had many good conversations with other people as well. After this we headed home for a quick lunch then went out to a church that has a youth slum ministry. We taught the kids a song and played games after telling them the story of David and Goliath. As you can see we reuse a lot of the same dramas every time there are new kids. It was a great time with those precious kids. Then a couple of us went to a new believers house to pray with her and over her children. We have been so blessed as God uses us to help others, it in turn seems to have helped us more than us doing the helping. 12/4- Thursday This morning was a special blessing because we were able to visit a kids hospital to pray over lots of kids. It was a very hard time to see some of what these kids were going through, but at the same time this is no problem for the same God who raised Christ from the grave. We just wanted to be Christ's loving arms for these kids even though it was only a short time. Then we headed back to the kings kids house and loaded up to meet together again as a whole team. Yes, we all met back up in order to move to another location to help church new planting pastor. We arrived after a shirt drive to a location a little outside of Kathmandu. 12/5- Friday Today was what everyone thought of when we heard our outreach was to Nepal and India. We started off early in the morning climbing mountains then went into and shared gospel with villagers who do not have a church near. They have a house church for all the believers there. We were able to share the gospel house to house and give out bible that are in Nepali. After this we headed home for lunch and later had a youth group meeting. We had a time of worship with the youth and gave a encouraging message after a drama. Today was a very full day and an extremely rewarding day to get to share the good news and encourage believers. 12/6- Saturday Saturday as the day of worship is still new to us but so awesome that only Nepal and Israel worship on Saturdays instead of Sundays. We had the kids from the church group as we lead the kids service. We did two stories of Jonah and Daniel about how God will protect us when we obey Him and trust in Him. We also had two crafts for them to take home in Oder to remember the stories. We also did chewchiwa with them, if you know what that is, if you don't it's a very funny dance and song that kids love. It was so fun to lead this time the kids were wild as kids should be but it was so fun! That afternoon we went and played soccer (football) by church with the pastor and locals who were quite good at soccer (football). 12/7- Sunday Sunday was a special time as we loaded up to head to a small hotel for the night far out of town. The hotel is right in front of the Himalayas so the sunrise and sunset are beyond beautiful. Also during very clear mornings you can see Mt. Everest. It's so awesome to see how creative our God is and to think we are the blessed ones given dominion over this and also made in HIS image. Wow reflecting times like this are so good to refocus on our God and not on our circumstances or even ourselves. Just a wonderful time to praise our God! We stayed here overnight and will head back in the afternoon the following day to enjoy a time of kids ministry.

Nepal Outreach week 6

Week 6 blog Nepal 11/24- Monday- Good morning Nepal! We got ready and headed out with our translator to do some evangelism around a pond that is a popular area. Before this though we had the pleasure of meeting a pastor who is leading a church planting ministry around the Kathmandu valley areas. We then headed to the pond since it was near the church planting base with our new friend who were pastors in training. There we were all able to speak with multiple people and share the Gospel with them. As one of the students asked a elderly lady if she had known who Jesus, an she replied she didn't know who he was but by the end of the convo she wanted to ask this Jesus into her heart!! Such a great time of encouraging believers and being able to share about this love God ha given us. We then headed to large park and we did open air dramas for students in the park . A we were doing these dramas there was a woman selling oranges an peanuts and come to find out she was a Christian also. This time was so great for us as we met this peanut sales lady who passed out tracts as she sold peanuts!! While we did dramas she handed a man a tract an then he began to ask us about this Jesus who was written about in the tract the lady had handed him. Her testimony was literally borderline impossible, but as we know there is nothing to big or impossible for our God! She told us about how she was not able to read because she never went to school but after she accepted Jesus in her heart she could read the bible! Yes, I know read that again and just tell God how good He is!!! What a great day. We then ended as you would all great days, with intercession. 11/25- Tuesday Today was quite an experience. Most of the team was battling illness and so because of this only 3 people went for ministry. We went to the pastors house who is leading the school for church planters that we visited on Monday. His family was so nice they invited us in for tea and gave us tons of bibles in Nepali and English. Today was more of a perpetration day due to the fact there is a national seminar going on where multiple prime ministers were meeting here in Kathmandu. So because of this South Asia conference everything was shut down for this half of the week. 11/26-Wednesday The morning started with intercession, and then went to our translators college to pray over it. While doing this we met a guy we gave bible after sharing the gospel with him. We also ran into a guy who told us he was a new christian and so we wanted him plugged into a local church so we invited him to church we were helping at this last week. 11/27- Thursday We went to Buddhist temple and tons of monkeys everywhere to prayer walk. Then after that we went and prayed for our translators dad and for a house church that was also an orphanage. The pastors mom we had previously prayed for was there waiting for us to pray. It was such a powerful sight just to see how much their understanding of the power of prayer is was just incredible. The team is still battling illness but God is still using us and preparing us for upcoming times of ministry. 11/28- Friday We started the morning with a great time of intercession and encouragement then switched housing so now the group from kings kids ministry is coming switch with us at the street evangelism base. This day was filled with packing and getting all our stuff together and then unloading again at the kings kids house we are now staying at. We had a time of orientation so we knew what to prepare for this week. Somewhat relaxed day just moved from ministry site to the next but still a great day! 11/29- Saturday We had found out that today at church we would be leading a "Saturday school" time for the kids, but during this time we had to teach them a Christmas play so we went with a classic the play of Jesus' birth. Later we gave a testimony during the youth group and then headed home because 2/5ths of our team were sick. It was an awesome church service though, and very nice to see because mainly the youth lead worship so it's very contemporary songs and somewhat reminds us of our home churches. 11/30- Sunday Once again was our free day so the whole group headed to the tourist area named Tamil and had lunch there. Some then went back home while others continued to shop and we met back up that night and ate dinner as a team. The hospitality at Kings kids is beyond awesome our host is the sweetest lady and 2 younger boys. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.
